Recycling Christmas Cards

I finished putting my christmas decorations away yesterday inspite of my hectic schedule. It took me two days ! I wish I'm Mary Poppins, oh well.I thought outside embellishments could wait till they thaw, come summer.
I often wonder what other people do with the christmas cards they received during the holidays. I knew several friends of mine throw them away right after the christmas season display is over.
I used to save them, But several years ago, I bumped into a box full of old christmas cards and birthday cards stashed away in our garage. After reading some of them which brought me back to yesteryears, I decided to part with a few. Most of it however, I turned into gift tags (still parting but in a subtle manner). Each year, I get to enjoy them once more as they adorn my gifts to family and loved ones.
Last year, I also started making these lovely cards into christmas bookmarks! It is a beautiful addition to my gaily decorated jars of chocolate mixes and boxes of cookies for family and friends.
To recycle your own stack, you will need a good paper trimmer and a single paper punch. Cut off the portions with writing and punch a hole in the middle corner for ribbons to slide through.Next christmas, your family and friends could also enjoy what you have enjoyed...
and for me this

is simply delightful.
