Snow Daze

      My daughter ran to the kitchen when she found out that we were blanketed with snow, " Mom, it snowed, it snowed !! I told you, forecasters could hit it right sometimes !". She could not contain her excitement. She ran from one bedroom window to the next, checking the different view and angle of this wondrous white powder cover. 
       I was sipping my hot coco and marveled the beauty of my all white backyard, when two arms belonging to my sweet little pumpkin, all dressed-up for the weather, announced "I am going out there to play before it melts! Mama- please." she begged. " Put something inside your tummy first", I ordered. After all it was only 6 o'clock in the morning. Albeit, my daughter is not the only one enamored with snow, our local paper has a little article, "Probing the Enduring Mystery of Snowflakes".
