Vegetables Are Good For You

Reading a few magazines on my B&N Nook while waiting for my two daughters piano lesson, I tumble upon an article that advises mothers not to sweat it out when kids would not eat vegetables and fruits."Replacing food items with the same nutritive value to vegetables that are more attractive to their palates are equally beneficial to their growing bodies", one nutritionist advice.
Mister would insist,"eat what mother cooked, we are not raising finicky" has always been his stern warning every time he see dinner platters filled with green. Knowing that drama would surely follow after a few bites.
Our first born loves pastries. Who wouldn't- except our second girl. Give her anything topped with Nutella  and her day is heaven.Still with sugar
Our girls like to make their own breakfast. On Saturdays, they would get up early and serve Mister and I one of the few they mastered- fried eggs with pancakes, slathered with piping hot syrup.

I love it when the girls do that. Yes, I get spoiled sometimes. I spoil them, too. Not often. We also have our moments, specially when it comes to eating the right food. Mister and I believes in training, discipline, manners and value, as we were raised the same way. I wonder if sometimes they think I'm so meanie--- no, I know they know better that. I should have them watch 'Mars Needs Moms', a film produced by the people who made "The Polar Express". I love that movie.Watch video clip.

Have a happy weekend ! be endlessly delighted with your Sunday ! as I will be with mine.
