I came downstairs and looked around this abode, Mister has lovingly provided for me and the girls . I am so grateful that I am able to live in serenity and beauty ...where I raised two beautiful girls,
Soon I will be leaving this house, which my hand has made it a home.
For 9 years, I have toiled in my little "ranch" of pumpkins, gourds, corn, vegetables of every kind, flowers and butterflies.
I have enjoyed early morning spring visits of my hummingbird friends that hungrily sucked the sweet nectar off my roses.
The walls I have painted with my hearts desire. Made beauty out of a raggedy Goodwill Thrift store find, or garage sale picks to decor this abode.
The Christmases were merry.
Summers were fun and birthdays were memorable.
I have made friends with neighbors and rubbed shoulders with the known and the unknown. My girls have invited both friends and their pets into my lawn and I have watched their somersaults.
Tell me, oh, tell me, should we leave this place that bore deep engravings to our soul ?
( well, at least for us - Mister ached to relocate)
When this "home sweet home" sells, he (Mr.) will retire. Until then, I would be utterly delighted to stay.
